Who I Am
A scholar devoted to Knowledge & Service
Anas Mohammad Shaikh memorized the Holy Qur’an by the age of eleven and went on to study Arabic, Aqidah, Tafseer, Fiqh, Hadith and Usool — earning a Bachelor’s in Islamic Theology from Darul Uloom Al-Madania and a Master’s in Islamic Law & Finance from Darul Uloom Karachi.
Since January 2013 he has led the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier as Imam and Executive Director, known for his work in community development, interfaith dialogue, and the advancement of social justice and human rights.
Beyond the masjid, he has founded national initiatives that strengthen Muslim communities and support Imams across the United States. He resides in Vestal, New York, with his wife and six daughters.
